Shyma Priya will take you on a powwow dance journey. Her fancy dress regalia, created by her mom, represents the butterfly. It is the dance of transformation, of taking flight and of women's liberation.
The fancy shawl dance is one of many different powwow dance styles.
Powwows are a celebration of life, a celebration of different nations coming together.
