"David" Barbara Carscaden
12” X 12” Acrylic- Mixed
I painted this composition using our son Dave as the inspiration. When Dave was 8 years old he played soccer (position left defense). I decided to incorporate our backyard garden including the bench he used to sit on. I love the hydrangeas and mini bamboo tree in our backyard as well as the impatiens planted in our flower pots.

The Colourful Eagle" 10"x10"

10"x10" Mixed Media
"I used about one month to complete my painting, and the name of the painting is The Colorful Eagle. The technique of my painting is my brush strokes. My brush strokes are really interesting, for the background I patted the brush on the canvas to make that rough background, and I also got some feathers from the dollar store and just kind of spread it around."

"Countess Aine" $595
Frame: 23" by 19"

Countess Aine is a Seelie court faery. Her name means splendour, radiance, and brilliance. In certain parts of Ireland, she is considered a faery queen. Her head is hand-sculpted from polymer clay, and her hair is hand carded wool that was dip dyed. She has a fabric body, adorned in original, handmade clothing. She is entirely handmade, from head to toe.

“Jesus Hominum Salvator”           $395
Kat Siemens
10” x 10”
Mixed media on canvas

This is my version of  young Jesus.
influenced by ancient Celtic illustrations and traditional religious icons, the collage consists of paper, gold leaf, graphite drawing and coloured pencil.

Elephant Dance”                     $975.-
Acrylic on canvas, vintage frame
41" X 45"

When I fist saw the frame I immediately knew I wanted to paint something exotic, but didn't quite know what. While out for dinner at an Indian restaurant I saw some marvellous old prints from Rajasthan, which supplied my initial inspiration;  Utilizing colours evocative of India it resulted in this vibrant fusion of modern and old motifs.

“Undines”
Kat SiemensAcrylic on canvas 8" X 10"         $295.-
Triptych    3” X 30”                                           $800.-
I have always loved the Fae, mystical creatures of the realms beyond
the veil. In this series I have painted three undines (also known as
mermaids). Since they are considered elementals of the water, and
inhabit all of the seven seas, one lovely lady is depicted as a Celt,
while another is Spanish and the third is from East Asia.

Weimar Republic 1920s”

Triptych                                    $350
Analog film. Hand-developed prints. Inspired by the mood and fashions
of Germany's Weimar Republic during the early 1920s.

“Crow in My Window” $250.-
Matt Streifel
12" x12" acrylic on wood canvas

The stained glass window depicting a solemn crow is an amalgamation of several experiences. I often wake in the morning to a crow cawing perched on a cherry tree branch outside my window. To me, crows represent something dark yet comforting. The window itself is a nod at a nineteenth century stained glass window from Scotland which, was in my grandparent’s old house on Marine Drive, in White Rock.
After my grandparents sold the property, the window unfortunately was lost along with the house that has been demolished for a new construction. My grandfather and my brother visited the site just after the demolition and in the rubble found a single blue fragment of the window. The piece now resides at my grandparent’s current home. The black window frame is somewhat inspired by my interest in Gothic architecture...
